Know Our Players…Chibuzor Madu.

Good morning Guys,..

In today’s Know Our Players column our focus is on one of our Center Backs, Chibuzor Madu. Born on 8th June, 1988, Madu joined Enyimba last season, he left in midseason back to Enugu Rangers and came back again this year to cement a place in the Enyimba team.

Despite being of Imo State origins, Chibuzor was born and bred in the West, Ibadan to be precise. He spent basically most of his life there and his family still lives there today. A complete Nigerian fluent in Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo and English.

He has played for quite a number of Nigerian Premier League clubs such as El Kanemi Warriors, Kwara United, Shooting Stars before playing for Enugu Rangers and finally Enyimba.

The right footed sweeper is also very good aerially, one of the players admits that nobody beats Chibuzor in the air. No wonder Kadiri Ikhana calls him the Headmaster. He featured for us in both of our home games in the League this season. Against Akwa United and against Bayelsa United. The former with Chinedu Udoji and the later with Emma Anyanwu.

Chibuzor got his first National Call up during the CHAN but he lost his place in that team due to injury. Let’s hope he gets a second shot at it, of course it is his consistent excellent performances that will earn him that.

Finally, Chibuzor is not married yet but you don’t expect that he’s available, few fine boys like him are. So ermmmm interested parties, steer clear….

We wish Chibuzor Madu a fruitful season with us.

Till tomorrow,
