CAF Champions League: The D Day

Good Morning Guys,

Tuesday is here finally. The 24th of May 2016 and today, we get to discover our CAF Champions League group stage opponents.

It is interesting for us because it has been a little while since we got into the group stages of the competition and to be grouped this season speaks of some progress. Even though we are not anywhere near the finished product,  we have done well so far and it is expedient we carried the form into the competition.

The draw is either at 12noon or 1pm I’m not sure right now and if you have a good Internet,  you can watch it all unfold. The link is below:

You can always check that link once in a while to know the exact time they get started.

Like we promised on the blog yesterday, we have brought you a profile of the eight teams in the Championship. Their history in CAF Competitions is also attached.  It’s all below. Confession time: I did not write these club profiles myself. I copied and pasted.

But which three would you prefer to be grouped with us?

There’s hardly anyone of them that is a pushover. Decent teams, quality teams and they have gotten to this stage having well earned it. By tomorrow we will have gotten our trio and we will examine them better in the days ahead.

So we sit and wait, expectantly expecting.

Back tomorrow

  1. Good morning.
I want to appreciate your daily post on this blog. I’ve been in Aba since yesterday so I used the opportunity to visit our stadium yesterday. There’s no single grass on the pitch ( the playing surface was covered with concrete).
It is my first visit to Aba.

    1. Good morning Tosin and thanks for your post. It’s really sad that the surface has yet to be laid. We have a crucial game in three weeks, I hope we can get ourselves sorted In time
