Greetings everyone. We welcome Nasarawa United to the UJ Esuene this evening as yet another match day is upon us.
The midweek result has well and nicely sank in with us and while for many of us, it was a good away point, the gaffer himself takes it on the chin while wishing we took our chances.
“It was a good game but unfortunately it ended in a barren draw. I think we were a little bit careless in the first half because we could have wrapped up the game then,”
“But be it as it may, a draw away is not a bad result. The unfortunate thing is that we played against our brother.”
“I don’t want to attribute the result to anything including the rain that fell but I will say it was our carelessness that cost us the three points,”
”If we had done well and took our chances in the first half, maybe the game would have been over in the first half. All the same, league is barely two weeks old and the team is still in the making”.
Well this evening, there shouldn’t be any such carelessness. We have Nasarawa United who in the past few seasons broke some outstanding records as far as the League is concerned. A side capable of beating Pillars at their stronghold would fancy their chances against a side far away from home. If we ever needed a red flag, that’s it right there.
To be fair, the gaffer hasn’t done badly at all. He’s had quite a task on his hands since he joined us but the improvements have been quite evident. Well done Mr Gbenga Ogunbote. We just have to follow it all up with a five star performance tonight.
Our strikers must have within the past few days reacquainted themselves with how to put the ball into the goal. Let’s trust they’re off to a flier at 4pm. A win would be precious cos at the very least a place or two up the table and we all would agree that the three points would surely be crucial in the days ahead.
For live updates, we might just be weighing in on the guys at the LMC or better still, perhaps the club official handle can offer updates as well. Weigh in on those for updates. Twitter Facebook should both be good sources.
All the best to the lads. Back tomorrow with good news hopefully.
